Lagerstroemia X Enduring Summer Pink Crape Myrtle

Lagerstroemia x ‘Enduring Summer Pink’ is a striking hybrid crape myrtle renowned for its exceptional disease resistance and prolonged bloom period, making it a standout choice for warm climates with challenging summer heat. This cultivar features vibrant pink flower clusters that appear from mid-summer through early fall, providing continuous color well beyond many traditional crape myrtles. Its compact, vase-shaped growth habit typically reaches 8 to 12 feet in height, making it versatile for both small and large landscapes. The smooth, exfoliating bark adds winter interest, while the glossy dark green foliage offers a lush backdrop during the growing season. Developed through careful breeding to enhance mildew resistance—a common issue with crape myrtles—‘Enduring Summer Pink’ demonstrates improved vigor and adaptability, thriving in full sun and well-drained soils. This cultivar has been recognized by various horticultural platforms for its garden performance, particularly its resistance to powdery mildew and extended flowering, positioning it as a superior choice for both residential and commercial landscapes seeking reliable and vibrant summer color.
